There are several reasons why a dating site can use fake profiles. If a dating site is new then, it does not have many registrations immediately. Fake profiles are often used to make the dating site look more attractive. You will probably also register more quickly at a dating site where there are many profiles than at a dating site where only a few profiles are visible.
There are also dating sites that use the fake profiles to generate income. Websites where you have to pay with credits or per sent message that use fake profiles to move members to send a lot of messages. They try to keep you on the line for a long time so that you keep in touch and the income is raised for the dating site. Of course this is not good to talk but it is a common method by dating sites.

Always use your common sense when you are talking to someone on a dating site. Ask the other person, for example, to have an e-mail address or contact via the webcam. Do you find refusals here, if it's a hard refusion, chances are you are dealing with a fake profile. Do not be dismissed with excuses, but be sensible and stop the contact. This will save you a lot of money.

How do you recognize a fake dating profile?

Tip 1: Do not respond to a profile without a photo, why does not he dare to show a photo? Fake or does it have a relationship and is he out on an adventure? People who are really looking for a nice date, do show photos!

Tip 2: Profile photos can also be fake! Is he or she too good at being true, then be vigilant! Ask for multiple photos, not just the face! Also ask for action photos where your date also stands up.

Tip 3: Is your date usually online during working hours and can it never meet in the evening or on the weekend? Then he might have a relationship and is only looking for an adventure.

Tip 4: Do you immediately get questions about your job and your financial situation? Then this person is probably more interested in your bank account than in you!

Tip 5: Never answer and talk about money during an online conversation! If someone asks for money, you are sure that you are dealing with a scammer.

Tip 6: Do you doubt whether that person is who he/she claims to be, see if he/she is consistent in his/her answers. You can also Google on his/her name.

Tip 7: Of course it is super that almost all contact goes digitally, but there is nothing wrong with (old-fashioned) telephone contact! Do you then only hear excuses for not calling, even then you would be dating with a fake date.

If you are doubtful about someone's profileyou can always indicate this to the customer service, so that the profile can be checked.
